![]() To All New Co-Signers Over the years we have been asked many, many questions by parents or co-signers. We eventually compiled all those questions along with the answers and came up with our "Parent / Student Guidebook". Please peer into this booklet before you call our office. We are certain that many of your questions (and even those you may not yet have thought of) will be answered within this booklet. ![]() Click here to view Parent/Student Handbook ![]() FURNITURE: Our apartments are not furnished. However, we encourage the incoming students to talk to the outgoing students. Many times outgoing students want to sell or give away furniture. Once we assign apartments, the incoming students can go to the apartment they are assigned and let the students know that they will be taking over the apartment next year and ask if they will be selling anything, or giving away anything. (This is also a good time for them to ask what the average utility bill is, since the students are billed directly from the utility company.) Any agreements made regarding furniture or paint, an agreement form (see below) must be filled out, signed and submitted to our office. These agreements are necessary because our policy is to remove and discard any items left behind if there is no agreement on file. Please see our "furniture agreement" |
Ivy Hall's Information for Parents/ Co-Signers Utility Info The Utilities are billed to the tenants directly from the utility company. The bills do not come through Ivy Office, therefore we do not see them. The best way to determine what the utility bills are is to ask the current tenants themselves or you can call each individual utility company and ask for an average. Please see our "Utility Info" page for the names of the companies and the phone numbers. Questions regarding Painting? |
LET'S P*A*R*T*Y!! But with NO KEGS! We at Ivy Hall enjoy a good party just like everyone else! ![]() It's when the party becomes out of control that we become concerned. ![]() Therefore, we need your help! The City of Newark will notify Ivy Hall if anyone has been arrested within the apartment (resident or guest). We will then notify the apartment as well as all co-signers. This is your opportunity to help us help the tenants! The tenants are in danger of losing their apartment and must be helped to appreciate the seriousness of this. Please Get Involved! Even if no one is arrested, Ivy Hall may begin an eviction process if there are lease violations regarding parties. Help the person you co-signed for to be responsible! They are allowed a maximum of 12 persons to a 2 bedroom 6 persons to a 1 bedroom Any more than that and they are in violation of their lease agreement. They are NOT allowed kegs or any other large quantities of alcohol in their apartment! This is also a lease violation! Thank you very much for your support!
